The Joint Election Commission (KPU) announced the results of the national recapitulation of the presidential election, which showed that Djoko Vidodo-Ma'ruf Amin was the winner, defeating the pair Prabovo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, but candidate pair number 02 said they had a dispute to submit to the constitution to court. According to the KPU, a valid national vote number was recorded at 154 257 601. The valid number of votes for president and vice president number 01 Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin reached 85,607,362 or 55.50% of the total valid national vote. The legal number of their rival pairs, Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, is 68,650,239 votes, or 44.50% of the total national legitimate votes.

So what about the reaction of Prabowo and his supporters?

The fortress of Prabowo-Sandiaga Uno presidential candidate said in the early hours of Tuesday (21/05), which has not been determined whether to admit defeat after the announcement of the election results, issued by the KPU.

"Before we get there, we have the right to present the results of the vote count in the Constitutional Court," Gerindra party vice chairman Ferry Yuliantono said in an interview with BBC News Indonesia reporter Rohmatin Bonasir.

"But to make the decision whether to use it or not, of course, again Prabovo Subianto, or Sandiaga Uno, as presidential and vice-presidential candidates with coalition parties decide together," he added.

The decision, according to Ferry Juliantono, one of the main party leaders of the coalition candidate No. 02, will be determined at the meeting.

But then Prabowo said that he refused the results of the census and his legal team said that they would file a dispute with the MC.

Prabovo said his party was carrying out "all legal efforts", according to the Constitution in what he called "defending the sovereignty of the people whose fundamental rights were designed in the 2019 general election".

Before Prabowo Subianto said he would reject the results of the presidential election in 2019, because after he had been deceived during the campaign period the election process was recapitulated.
