I personally believe the game is not supposed to be played as a free participant and with the contemporary optimisation and efficacy culture which now dominates the game I'd never recommended ftp to a different player what I recommend is purchasing a 6 month membership plenty of time to optimize an accounts so that way you can earn sufficient to sustain membership at no cost via bonds bonds being the greatest update since OSRS came out imo however in the event that you would like to experience a taste of the culture of old ftp isn't a bad place to begin.
